Uluwatu Cliff Wedding, Bali: Ceremony Packages, Venues & Prices

Limestone cliffs, seventy metres above the Indian Ocean.

Turquoise ocean below limestone cliffs at Uluwatu, Bali

Uluwatu is Bali's most dramatic wedding destination: limestone cliffs 70 metres above the Indian Ocean, with unobstructed sunset views. Sekar Bali plans Uluwatu cliff ceremonies for 10 to 80 guests from Rp 45.000.000 (~USD 2,950), all-inclusive of venue permit, officiant, florals, and coordination. Availability is limited to 2 to 3 ceremonies per weekend; book 6 to 12 months in advance.

Uluwatu sits on the southernmost tip of Bali’s Bukit Peninsula, where the island falls away into limestone cliffs and the Indian Ocean stretches uninterrupted to the horizon. It is the most photographed wedding setting in Bali for a reason: there is simply no backdrop like it.

A ceremony here is built around the light. Couples choose sunset for the drama, the golden hour painting the cliffs amber as vows are exchanged. The venues range from open-air platforms that put nothing between you and the sea, to covered terraces and private cliffside gardens with room to celebrate long after dark.

Because the best cliff venues host only two or three weddings a weekend, dates are the scarcest resource in Uluwatu. Send us your preferred date and we will confirm availability the same day, then handle every permit, vendor, and transfer between now and your ceremony.

Questions about Uluwatu

Good to know

What is the best time of year for an Uluwatu cliff wedding?

April to October is the dry season and the safest window for an outdoor cliff ceremony. A sunrise or sunset ceremony gives the softest light and the coolest temperatures.

How many guests can attend an Uluwatu cliff wedding?

Between 10 and 80 depending on the venue, with intimate elopements possible from just 2 guests. Cliff-top platforms suit smaller groups; private cliffside gardens hold the larger celebrations.

Can we have a Balinese blessing at Uluwatu?

Yes. An optional traditional Balinese blessing can be woven into your ceremony, led by a local priest alongside your officiant, at no extra charge.

How far is Uluwatu from Seminyak or Kuta?

Around 45 to 60 minutes by car. We arrange all transport logistics for you and your guests, including timing buffers for Bali's afternoon traffic.
